My Approach to Marketing
Vivian Olodun draws attention to her clients with marketing solutions designed to create or maintain the celebrity factor so that they can demand top dollar for their services and have more leverage in their industry. Vivian has 18 years in marketing with a long list of partnerships, including Capital One Bank, Samsung, FedEx, TradeStation, Alacran Foundation, The Bit Group, and a collision of small businesses and organizations she affectionately refers to as "The Tribe."
“Money loves me because I make space in the business structure for it to grow. The greatest asset I have to give is the knowledge I’ve acquired working with and for billionaires. My clients like me because I SHOW THEM how to make more money, and I think that is fantastic!”
MY STORY
I'm the daughter of a Nigerian father and an Afro-Latina mother, and I grew up understanding money from both sides: the discipline and the aspiration. That's my credential. I've cleaned houses, worked in corporate America, built a marketing firm that serves the rich and famous, and raised millions to fund women-owned businesses. Every step of it taught me the same lesson. Money moves through people, rooms, conversations, information, speed, and access.
I Got Close Before I Got Wealthy.
Long before I had money, I practiced proximity. I adjusted my gym schedule and found myself next to CEOs at five-thirty in the morning. I cleaned the house of an American Airlines executive, showed up with excellence instead of ego, and ended up with buddy passes that let me travel the world. I said my audacious dreams out loud and paid attention to who leaned in. Those habits changed my identity, my tribe changed around my habits, and my proximity changed everything else.
WHAT I DO NOW
I Help You Stop Building Your Life by Accident
Most ambitious people are talented, capable, and full of ideas, yet they're moving too timidly, staying in inherited circles, and taking advice from people who are comfortable where they feel trapped.
I teach them to choose better rooms, build a stronger tribe, participate in money conversations, and move like someone who belongs near the life they say they want.
I call it the Proximity to Money Method, and it's grounded in my HIT framework:
Habits, Identity, and Tribe
Other Work and Interest
Vivian's published work is an interactive journal called Stumbling Through Adulthood, an interactive journal for failing forward. The work is a collection of short stories that are funny, raunchy, and full of drama for readers trying to make sense of failure as they also navigate the journey into "adulthood."
Unapologetically Black, she doesn't hide her Afro-Latino & Nigerian heritage. Vivian candidly jokes about her position as an advisor to thought leaders while facing the fact that she is often the only brown girl in the room. She is professional and witty, bravely pulling back the curtain to show that if she can do it, so can you!
Vivian is married with two girls under two years old. She recently launched a community called Made for Millions Mastermind for women small business owners with teams of 10 of less.. Her private Facebook group is growing exponentially since the pandemic as high-frequency women business owners seek out online communities that look like them. Reach out and become part of “The Tribe.”
